We can be reached easily by car, public transport, boat or private transfer.

Car: We are 48 KM from Tanga town; take road toward Kenya, look for the village sign of Vuo (38km) turnoff (white signpost) – 10 KM of signposted dirt road which has recently (mid 2023) been upgraded to a gravel road, and passable year round.

Public Transport: Buses from all regional centres have services to Tanga. There are lots of local buses from Tanga, some coming to our village (Boma) or passing our turn off toward the border. Large buses to/from Mombasa will drop you off at our turn off. Please arrange, well in advance, with us for a car to pick you up from our turn off.

We also arrange private transfers from Tanga town/airport, Mombassa airport or Ukunda airport (Diani Kenya).

Boat: We can sometimes arrange morning motor boat transfers from Tanga, taking 70mins, or longer if we stop at the islands… (Weather  dependant and only by pre arrangement)

Flight: Tanga is serviced by flights from Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and Pemba, sadly the Arusha/KIA flights have not been rescheduled following Covid19… We are hopeful that Air Tanzania will soon be flying this route. We can arrange private transfers/taxi from the Tanga airport.

Ferry – Pemba/Zanzibar: The new fast ferry is now working between Zanzibar to Pemba to Tanga. Departing Monday/Wednesday and Saturday at 0930hrs, Pemba at 1300hrs and Tanga at 1500hrs for the return trip in reverse. Leaves Tanga at 1500hrs to Pemba, for an overnight and then on to Zanzibar the following day arriving at 1130.
